Our primary mission is to serve and support veterans—men and women, from the newest generation of combat vets back to our World War II combatants, and all foreign war veterans in between. Many members joined because they desired the camaraderie they had in the military. Now, they value being a part of a veterans service organization that takes care of its brothers and sisters.
We share the common bond of serving overseas in a combat or hostile fire zone, far from home and perhaps far from anything we could have ever imagined. As VFW comrades, we share our experiences through words and quiet reflection, knowing that support and understanding is there. Our families also know all too well about the hardship of foreign deployments. We are also committed to preserving freedom, promoting patriotism and continuing our service to America through the VFW.
