The Senate voted to extend the window for businesses to apply for loans under the Paycheck Protection Program

The Senate voted to extend the window for businesses to apply for loans under the Paycheck Protection Program on Tuesday night,(June 30) just before the Small Business Administration closed applications. The measure was approved unanimously and now heads to the House. If approved by the lower chamber and signed into law by President Trump, the bill would extend PPP applications to August 8. The loan program currently has about $130 billion in unused funding left.
